This tour begins with the transportation from your accommodation to Potosí Lagoon, a place with calm waters known for its great diversity of birds, located 20 km south of Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo.
At Potosí Lagoon, you'll have the opportunity to explore one of the most beautiful bird sanctuaries in the region. A boat ride to the most remote areas of the lagoon will take you to see species such as ospreys, frigate birds, white pelicans, blue herons, and many others.
After completing the tour, you'll enjoy a delicious breakfast in the picturesque "enramadas" on the shores of the lagoon.
Our next stop will be El Refugio de Potosí, where nature and education meet. This is a private, non-profit 7-hectare ecological park located in the coastal lowland deciduous forest of the Barra de Potosí region. Here we'll have the opportunity to interact with and learn about different species in the area, such as military macaws, river otters, and tree porcupines.
After completing our visit to the Potosí Refuge, we'll return to Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, where our transportation will take you back to your accommodation.
