On this tour, you will explore Vicente Guerrero National Park, one of the two Protected Natural Areas in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo.
The tour begins at the entrance of the National Park, where our transportation will take you from your accommodation. Here, you will be provided with binoculars and the indications on how to use them properly. In this part of the tour, inland birds are possible to spot, such as cardinals, orioles, magpie jays and flycatchers.
For our next stop we will hike for 20 minutes through the National Park, arriving at the edge of a lagoon, where many species of birds can be found: ducks, jacanas, kites and hawks, being the most common.
We will head back to the entrance of the National Park, from where we will go to the third viewing point: the mouth of the Ixtapa River. Here, there is a great diversity of marine, lagoon and inland birds, such as pelicans, terns, cormorants, herons, egrets and woodpeckers.
For out final stop we will head to the crocodile pit in Playa Linda. Here you will see crocodiles and nesting birds up close, including night herons, storks and spoonbills.
